Pick Me.

I’ve always raised my hand before I know the answer.

Thirteen years ago I had a dream I was in Physics class.

Physics, the study of life, the only class I couldn’t get an A in, no matter how I tried.

In my dream, my teacher asked for a volunteer to do an experiment.

Giving no instructions, no advice, no knowledge to what the experiment was, all bodies sat. Still, waiting for direction before volunteering.

Except one.

“I’ll do it.” Mr. Jensen, I said, raising my hand.

“Pick me.”

Such is life. We find ourselves in the experiment with no instructions. We seek answers from those who’ve gone before, have succeeded in their craft, hold fancy degrees, make money.

Yet, only one compass, one map is critical for the journey.

Heart.

Sprinkle on a dash of guts and grit (okay, dump the whole bottle) and you’ve what it takes.
