halt the silence

The beast waits in the shadows salivating for blood.

Another life taken.

Heroin is becoming an epidemic, a crisis against our children.  No longer can I stand by and watch it ambush our babies.

War. This is what we should fight for, our children, our future, them, not each other. Adults pointing fingers and name-calling while we send our children off, unbeknownst the slaughterhouse in our own backyard.

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” -Ephesians 6:12

Addiction attacks the soul.

No longer choosing the outcast, it finds the brilliant, the popular, the creative, and the beautiful. Genius, its personality of choice.

Plucking a child, no family immune, absent of remorse.

My heart breaks for the momma. The dad.  The sister. The brother.

We must reach out. Touch the hurting. Ask the Universe. Care.

Addiction, master imposter and cannibal, tricks the addict into thinking they’re themselves. Lying, it takes up residence in their mind, forcing submission to body, they must feed the insatiable pangs unrealized till first bite.

I create art to inspire and write books to build confidence and hope. Creating laughter, fun and happiness on a level higher than most people thought possible, I want others to experience true joy in living.
