Seek Genius

Genius is found when we understand that we’re spirit connected to God. All power is from above and granted to us with grace. We grab hold of this power to generate our lives.

I go in spurts, I’m all or nothing. It’s how I am. I can’t remember if I told you about the Foundation, Noah Strong. It’s an official Texas 501c3. I want the Noah Strong Foundation (NSF) to do three things:

  1. Create and grant scholarships for families that can’t afford to send their child to rehab.
  2. Lobby to change insurance policies requiring more money to be spent on rehab and longer treatment stays.
  3. Partner with medicine to unlock secrets of the addicts mind, finding techniques and healing to aid in recovery.

I’m writing a book. I have to get back on track. I get so caught up in life that I forget to do what matters, write. Today I was reminded that’s how I connect to genius. I’m going to have an Art Auction to benefit the Noah Strong Foundation. I need to raise 2400 more dollars to pay the attorney, creating documentation for the Foundation. If you feel led to give, follow the link in the picture above. The monies go straight to the Foundation. I won’t take a dime.

The younger generation needs to know they are genius. We don’t have their answers, they do. Our job is to help them navigate to find answers within themselves.  The only ones who can unlock their own souls, we need to be open-minded to listen to the youth, they know more than we give them credit for. Screaming to understand, they experiment in ways unknown to us and we judge, turn away, label, thinking our answers will solve their problems.

We must take the log from our own eye before we see the twig in our neighbor’s eye.

Autumn is genius. I listen to her speak bravery, and I think, I get to be her mom. I get to learn from her. Listening within, the student becomes wiser than the teacher. Bolder. Stronger, how it should be, meaning the teacher succeeded, and God found.
